Dead Exit (Xbox One)

Dead Exit (Xbox One)The Hidden Levels

Platforms

Dead Exit is an undead apocalypse, base management, card game. Ok, it's possibly the only undead apocalypse, based management, card game, but it's fun, and that's the important thing when it comes to games I've been told.

Each player controls a base and tries to out maneuver their opponents and survive the evacuation of a city. Play your cards right. Make alliances.Break alliances. Betray sworn allies at the worst possible time and leave them to get eaten by the hordes.

It's up to you how you play it, just make sure you get out of the city with enough resources to survive!

Of course, you don't have to murder everyone in sight. You could play cooperatively and try to make sure everyone gets out alive. Or you can play on your own in solitaire mode which has plenty of settings for a casual quick game or an intense skin of your teeth undead fest. It's really up to you.

Features:

  • Original card mechanic with multi function, two sided cards. Everything is undead if you aren't careful
  • 1 - 8 players locally or online
  • solitaire mode with full difficulty customisation.

NOTE FROM THE DEV -

There are 3 single player game modes that can be customised, as well as local and online multiplayer. Below is a quick explanation of them, but feel free to just jump into the game and take on the army of dead! If you do find yourself struggling though, there are some tactics videos on the Radiationburn YouTube channel. Have fun!

Single Player - Survival

This is the simplest mode where all you need to do is survive and collect the correct number of resources. It's just you versus the deck!

A few cards may not initially appear useful in this mode as they are primarily for attacking other players, but if you get to know the game you will find clever ways of using these cards to help out your other bases or get you out of a tight spot. You can change the difficulty in this mode by increasing the number of resources needed to escape and also the number of bases you control. When playing with 2 bases feel free to let someone else play the second base as this is a good casual learning experience if you don't want to fight each other.

Single Player - Siege

Raiders have you pinned and resources are limited. you only need 1 of each to survive the week but cards to pick up are scarce with a few more added each turn. Additionally, every turn the raiders will play a card to attack you. Fight back and quickly get what you need to survive by any means necessary. You can increase the difficulty by making resources harder to find, and increasing the number of weeks you need to survive.

resources used to survive a week are gone forever so you may need to steal from the raiders on harder difficulties.

Single Player - War

This is like multiplayer. the whole deck is available and it's you versus the raiders in two opposing teams. You can control difficulty by choosing to play with 1-3 bases VS 1-3 raider bases. They will mostly attack the player but will sometimes steal from each other too. Again, if you are controlling 2 bases feel free to hand one off to the person sitting next to you and play this mode co-op. You can win by surviving with all bases, or wiping out the enemy bases by getting them overrun with dead.

Multiplayer - Local and Online

In this mode you need to acquire as many resources as you can. Get more sets of Food, fuel, and survivors than everyone else to win. You can play this as all out chaos by adding extra dead every turn, or you can all try to work together by selecting co-op mode which means if one person dies you all die. You can also scale the game to suit the number of player so a 2 player game only uses 50% of the cards. So go ahead, have fun, and betray your friends at the worst possible time and then laugh as they are swarmed (unless you are playing coop mode in which case you should really try hard to resist that very very tempting urge).
